About Us

We at Hofmen International Inc. develop, manufacture and distribute a broad range of high quality Natural Aroma Chemicals, Pharmaceutical Intermediates, Natural Nutrition Extracts, Synthetic Aroma Chemicals, and Liquid Crystals. We have served a diverse customer base for more than 10 years in a variety of industries including: beverage, food, fragrance, pharmaceutical, and personal care. Our products are shipped to more than 20 countries. We are positioned to serve our North America customers from our offices in Ohio and New Jersey. Our warehouse facilities are located in New Jersey.

Hofmen International Inc. has three major manufacturing plants and two research institutes which are all located in Shanghai, China. They are Shanghai Far East Aromatic Chemical Co., Ltd., Shanghai Jinyibao Biotechnology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Natural and Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd., Shanghai Far East Chemical Engineering Research Center for Flavors and Fragrances, and Shanghai Institute of Industrial Technology.

Our products can be roughly grouped into four categories:

(1) High purity Natural Aroma Chemicals including natural alcohols and their natural aldehydes, ketones, acids, esters, and lactones. All products in this group are Kosher certified and each lot tested for naturalness.

(2) Pharmaceutical Intermediates including Chiral Chemicals and Natural Nutrition Extracts

(3) Synthetic Aroma Chemicals

(4) Liquid Crystal Materials

Hofmen International Inc. also provides Custom Synthesis and Contract Research services as a possible cost-effective solution to complex chemical problems.
